Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Perform physical and logical troubleshooting to resolve network connectivity issues and downtime.
- Execute cable management and infrastructure projects, including Cat6, fiber optics, and structured cabling.
- Monitor network performance and security protocols to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with system engineers to deploy new network hardware and software updates.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and change logs accurately.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or certification in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field (e.g., CCNA, Network+).
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in network infrastructure support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking hardware is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various physical environments (attics, crawl spaces, server rooms).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
