Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet network equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Implement security protocols (VPNs, ACLs, IDS/IPS) to protect against cyber threats
- Document network topology, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy cloud solutions (AWS/Azure) and hybrid networks
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex network outages and escalate vendor issues
- Conduct regular network audits and capacity planning for future growth
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Engineering or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise network administration
- Certifications: CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent required
- Proficiency in LAN/WAN technologies, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, and QoS
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security principles
- Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud networking
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with network diagnostic tools
- Ability to lift 50lbs and work flexible hours during system outages
