Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.
- Perform routine network maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
- Manage IP addressing, routing, and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VLANs).
- Document network architecture, configurations, and changes for compliance and future reference.
- Respond to and resolve network-related incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the IT security team to implement network security measures and firewalls.
- Conduct physical cabling audits and assist in the deployment of new hardware.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or CCNP are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong working knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, or HP networking equipment.
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Physical stamina to work in server rooms and perform cable installations.
