Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco/Juniper network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Implement security protocols (VPN, ACLs, firewalls) to protect against cyber threats
- Document network infrastructure changes using Visio and ServiceNow
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud migration projects (AWS/Azure)
- Provide Level 2/3 support for network incidents and outages
- Conduct regular network audits and optimize traffic flow
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience with Cisco/Juniper equipment
- CCNA/CCNP or equivalent industry certification required
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLAN configuration
- Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies (Palo Alto, Cisco Viptela)
- Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Python)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose complex network issues
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional client site visits
