Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco/Juniper network hardware including switches, routers, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using SolarWinds/NPM and resolve connectivity issues within SLAs
- Implement network security protocols (VPNs, ACLs, IDS/IPS) to protect against cyber threats
- Document network topology, configurations, and incident reports using ServiceNow
- Collaborate with cloud teams to hybridize on-premise infrastructure with AWS/Azure
- Support VoIP systems and wireless network optimization for 99.9% uptime
- Train junior staff on network best practices and compliance standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in enterprise network administration (CCNA/JNCIA required)
- Proficiency with TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and network automation (Python/Ansible)
- Security certifications (CompTIA Security+, CEH) or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience with SD-WAN solutions (Palo Alto/Cisco Viptela)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across multi-vendor environments
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with ITIL frameworks
- Valid Louisiana driver's license for occasional site visits
- BS in Computer Science or related field preferred
