Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot wired/wireless network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Document network topology, configurations, and incident reports using ServiceNow
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement VLAN segmentation and access controls
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex network outages and performance optimization
- Execute scheduled maintenance during flexible off-peak hours (evenings/weekends)
- Train junior technicians on network best practices and vendor-specific protocols
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper network hardware and TCP/IP protocols
- CCNA/CCNP or equivalent network certification required
- Proficiency in network automation tools (Ansible, Python) and cloud networking (AWS/Azure)
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing complex network issues
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional client site visits
- Experience with SD-WAN implementation and optimization
- Ability to work independently during flexible hours with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
