Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues with minimal disruption to operations
- Implement security protocols including VPNs, VLANs, and intrusion detection systems
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures
- Provide Tier 3 support and technical guidance to junior IT staff
- Collaborate with cloud services teams for hybrid network integration
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Engineering or 4+ years equivalent experience
- CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent industry-recognized credentials
- Proficiency in Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet network infrastructure
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols
- Experience with network automation tools (Python, Ansible)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
