Responsibilities
- Configure, install, and troubleshoot local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) to ensure optimal connectivity.
- Maintain and update network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance using specialized tools to identify bottlenecks and implement necessary upgrades.
- Perform routine security audits and patch management to protect against cyber threats.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support to end-users regarding network connectivity and hardware issues.
- Document network diagrams, configurations, and changes to ensure system integrity and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience in network administration or support.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Familiarity with network security protocols and VPN configurations.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to diagnose complex technical issues efficiently.
