Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Cisco Prime to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Implement and troubleshoot complex network security protocols including VLANs, ACLs, and intrusion detection systems
- Collaborate with cloud engineers to optimize hybrid network architectures and Azure/AWS integrations
- Document network configurations, create disaster recovery plans, and maintain compliance with industry standards
- Provide Tier 3 support for network-related incidents and coordinate cross-functional remediation efforts
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic upgrades to enhance network scalability and performance
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Engineering or IT certification (CompTIA Network+, CCNA) required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper enterprise networking hardware
- Expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and advanced routing protocols
- Proficiency in network automation tools (Ansible, Python) and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts (AWS VPC, Azure VNet, SD-WAN)
- Certification in network security (e.g., CCNP Security, Security+) highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex network issues under pressure
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites within the Indianapolis metro area
