Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Diagnose and resolve network outages, security breaches, and hardware failures
- Implement network security protocols including VPNs, ACLs, and intrusion prevention systems
- Document network topologies, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud migrations and hybrid environments
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or equivalent certification (CompTIA Network+, CCNA)
- 3+ years experience with Cisco/Juniper enterprise networking equipment
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLAN configuration
- Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi and Hyper-V virtualization
- Strong analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
- Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder updates
