Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark
- Troubleshoot network issues to minimize downtime and resolve incidents within SLA
- Implement network security protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments
- Document network configurations, changes, and incident reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network upgrades and migrations
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for complex network-related user issues
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CCNA, Network+, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto technologies
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN protocols
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotations
- Valid NJ driver's license for occasional site visits
