Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Implement security protocols to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Document network architecture and create detailed technical documentation for internal and client use
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex network issues and optimize system performance
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for network-related incidents and coordinate with vendors when necessary
- Design and deploy scalable network solutions for growing enterprise environments
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Engineering, IT, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper networking equipment
- CCNA or equivalent certification required; CCNP or higher strongly preferred
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, VLANs)
- Strong knowledge of network security principles and implementation best practices
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues
- Ability to work independently and in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
