Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Perform network troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve connectivity issues and service outages efficiently.
- Manage and monitor network security devices, including firewalls and VPNs, to ensure data integrity.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and changes using ticketing systems and technical documentation.
- Conduct routine network audits and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure projects and upgrades.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding network-related inquiries.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Valid Network+ or CCNA certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP) and routing technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
