Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Diagnose and resolve network outages using advanced monitoring tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark
- Implement security protocols including VLAN segmentation, VPN tunnels, and IDS/IPS systems
- Document network topology changes and maintain accurate configuration management records
- Collaborate with cloud teams to hybridize on-premise and Azure/AWS environments
- Provide Tier-3 support for complex network issues and mentor junior technicians
- Conduct periodic network performance audits and capacity planning
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience with Cisco/Juniper hardware
- CCNA/CCNP or equivalent industry certification required
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and BGP routing protocols
- Proficiency in scripting (Python/PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Experience with SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela/Palo Alto Prisma)
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis of network anomalies
- Valid Ohio driver's license for occasional client site visits
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred
