Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Diagnose and resolve network issues (Layer 1-3) with SLA-driven response times
- Implement security protocols including VLAN segmentation, VPNs, and intrusion detection
- Document network configurations using Visio and network mapping software
- Collaborate with cloud teams to hybrid on-premises and AWS/Azure infrastructure
- Conduct periodic network audits and capacity planning
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience in enterprise environments
- Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Strong troubleshooting skills with network analyzers and packet sniffers
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN solutions
- Ability to lift 30lbs and work flexible hours including occasional on-call duties
- Valid Texas driver's license for client site visits
