Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless systems
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Cisco Prime; troubleshoot critical outages within SLA
- Execute security protocols including firewall configuration, IDS/IPS deployment, and vulnerability assessments
- Lead network migration projects to cloud environments (AWS/Azure) while ensuring zero downtime
- Document network architecture, create runbooks, and maintain compliance with ISO 27001 standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network capabilities with business objectives
- Provide Tier 3 support escalation and mentor junior technicians on advanced networking concepts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field + 5+ years network engineering experience
- CCNP/JNCIP certification with proven expertise in Cisco/Juniper routing and switching
- Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and multicast protocols
- Hands-on experience with SD-WAN (Viptela/Cisco vManage), cloud networking, and automation tools (Ansible/Python)
- Strong security background including Next-Gen Firewall implementation and threat mitigation
- Ability to work independently in remote environment with excellent written communication skills
- Valid Washington State driver's license for occasional on-site client visits
