Role Overview:
As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be involved in the full software development lifecycle. You will write clean, efficient code and help build scalable web applications that serve millions of users. While prior professional experience is not required, a strong willingness to learn and a passion for technology are essential.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior developers in designing, coding, and testing software applications using modern technologies.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code review meetings.
- Debug and troubleshoot existing codebases to identify and fix errors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, marketing) to define features and technical requirements.
- Contribute to the development of responsive, user-friendly web interfaces and backend services.
- Document code and processes to ensure knowledge transfer and maintainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Basic understanding of web development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) or a willingness to learn them quickly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with Git version control is a plus but not required.
