As a Junior Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in monitoring our security operations center (SOC), investigating potential threats, and ensuring our enterprise infrastructure remains resilient against cyberattacks. You will work alongside senior analysts, gaining hands-on experience with industry-leading security tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from various sources, including SIEM platforms, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Investigate potential security incidents and respond to alerts in accordance with incident response procedures.
- Perform log analysis and correlation to identify anomalies and potential threats.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of security documentation, including playbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing efforts.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security controls and patches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent entry-level certification is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Basic understanding of security concepts such as firewalls, VPNs, and encryption.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain additional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, SANS GIAC) within 2 years of employment.
