Are you looking to kickstart your career in Data Analytics? Apex Data Systems is currently hiring a Junior Data Analyst with no prior experience required. We are looking for curious, driven individuals who want to learn how to turn raw data into actionable business insights.
This is a fully remote position based in Omaha, Nebraska, offering a modern work environment and excellent growth potential. You will work alongside senior analysts and receive mentorship to help you develop essential skills in SQL, Python, and visualization tools.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather and process large datasets from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Dashboard Creation: Build and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau or Power BI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Trend Analysis: Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data to support strategic decision-making by the management team.
- Report Generation: Create detailed, clear reports and presentations summarizing findings for stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and operations teams to understand data requirements and solve business problems.
- Support: Assist in the maintenance of data governance policies and ensure compliance with data security standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Technical Skills: Basic familiarity with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and SQL is a plus.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong logical thinking and attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex data concepts.
- Learning Agility: Eager to learn new tools and methodologies with a proactive attitude.
- Remote Work: Must have a stable internet connection and the ability to work independently from home.
