Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Events: Continuously analyze log data and alerts from SIEM tools to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and malicious activity.
- Incident Response Support: Assist senior analysts in triaging, investigating, and remediating security incidents and breaches.
- Vulnerability Management: Participate in vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation processes to ensure systems are hardened against attacks.
- Security Documentation: Maintain accurate records of security incidents, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively search for hidden threats within the network environment using custom scripts and automation.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with IT and engineering teams to implement security best practices and patches.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP (entry-level) is highly preferred; willingness to obtain certification within 6 months is required.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Tools: Familiarity with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) or scripting languages (Python, Bash) is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly.
- Language: Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
