We are seeking a dedicated Entry Level Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite team in San Jose, CA. In this role, you will be the first line of defense, working within our 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC). You will gain hands-on experience with industry-leading SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, and incident response protocols.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Analyze security logs and traffic data to investigate suspicious activities and determine the scope of incidents.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of security controls and firewalls.
- Document incident responses, security findings, and compliance requirements accurately.
- Conduct routine vulnerability scans and support penetration testing activities.
- Collaborate with the IT team to patch vulnerabilities and strengthen network security posture.
- Participate in red team/blue team exercises and threat modeling sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Completion of foundational cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, Network+, or CEH.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and OSI Model.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Willingness to relocate to the San Jose, CA area for this position.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
