SecureNet Solutions is a leading provider of equity options and cybersecurity services. We are looking for ambitious individuals to join our team in Chicago, IL and our expanding operations in Ohio. We are specifically hiring for entry-level roles, so no prior experience is necessary—we are looking for potential, passion, and a drive to learn.
As a Junior Cybersecurity Analyst, you will work alongside seasoned professionals to monitor security infrastructure, investigate potential threats, and help protect our clients' financial and digital assets. We offer a comprehensive training program to get you up to speed quickly.
Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Systems: Watch over SIEM alerts and logs to identify potential cyber threats or anomalies in real-time.
- Incident Response: Assist the security team in investigating, triaging, and documenting security incidents.
- Network Analysis: Perform basic network traffic analysis to understand data flow and identify irregularities.
- Vulnerability Management: Support the scanning and patching of systems to ensure software and hardware remain secure.
- Compliance Support: Help maintain records for compliance standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- User Awareness: Educate team members on phishing scams and best practices for data protection.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, reports, and technical documentation for all security activities.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: No prior professional experience required. Internships, coursework, or personal projects are a plus.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Network+, or A+ certification is a strong plus but not mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Location: Willingness to work from our Chicago, IL headquarters or the Ohio branch.
