As an Entry-Level Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be immersed in a dynamic environment where you will learn from industry veterans and work on state-of-the-art security infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding our clients' digital assets against evolving threats.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events within the SIEM platform to identify potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under supervision to identify system weaknesses.
- Assist in the implementation and configuration of firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Support incident response efforts by documenting findings and assisting in the containment of security breaches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Participate in security awareness training programs and contribute to the continuous improvement of our security posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and routing protocols.
- Basic understanding of Linux/Windows command line interfaces and operating system security.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Eagerness to obtain certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to relocate to San Jose, CA.
