Responsibilities
- Security Monitoring: Monitor security alerts and notifications from SIEM tools to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and anomalies in real-time.
- Incident Support: Assist senior analysts in the documentation and triage of security incidents, following established incident response protocols.
- Vulnerability Assessment: Participate in regular vulnerability scanning and risk assessments to ensure our network infrastructure remains secure.
- Compliance Documentation: Maintain accurate records of security configurations, policies, and audit trails to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Network Analysis: Analyze network traffic logs to detect unauthorized access attempts and unusual activity patterns.
- Security Awareness: Collaborate with the IT team to implement and enforce security best practices across the organization.
- Training & Development: Engage in continuous learning to obtain industry-recognized certifications such as Security+ or CompTIA Network+.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Technical Foundation: Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows and Linux).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
