Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and events through SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack) and correlate suspicious activities.
- Assist in the identification, triage, and documentation of security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct routine vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support for internal systems.
- Respond to and assist in the remediation of security breaches and malicious activity.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and awareness training materials.
- Perform log analysis and reporting to provide insights into system health and security posture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Earned or working towards certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Google Cybersecurity Certificate.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with Linux command line and basic scripting (Python or Bash) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a high-pressure team environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
