Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Document security incidents, root causes, and remediation steps.
- Collaborate with IT operations to patch systems and secure network infrastructure.
- Stay updated on the latest cyber threats and security trends.
- Assist in the implementation of security policies and compliance frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity (or equivalent military/combat experience).
- Fundamental knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and the OSI model.
- Understanding of basic security concepts (CIA triad, encryption, authentication).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Security+ or Network+ certification is a plus, but not required for entry-level candidates.
