Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight) to detect potential threats.
- Assist in the investigation of security incidents and the creation of detailed incident reports.
- Support the implementation of security patches and software updates across enterprise systems.
- Conduct routine vulnerability scans and assist in risk assessments.
- Collaborate with the IT team to enforce security policies and best practices.
- Participate in cybersecurity drills and tabletop exercises to improve team readiness.
- Document technical findings and maintain accurate security logs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or Associate degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer networks, TCP/IP, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Familiarity with networking concepts and hardware components.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Network+ within 12 months.
- No prior professional cybersecurity experience required.
