Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and log data from various sources using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Assist in the investigation and triage of security incidents, documenting findings and escalating issues to senior analysts.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and patch management activities to ensure system integrity.
- Configure and maintain network security devices, including firewalls and proxies, under supervision.
- Participate in security awareness training initiatives and internal compliance audits.
- Support the creation of security documentation, including playbooks and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, OSI Model, DNS, and HTTP.
- Familiarity with basic security concepts such as authentication, authorization, and encryption.
- Basic knowledge of Linux or Windows operating systems and command line interfaces.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- ITIL certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.
