Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and remediation actions in compliance frameworks
- Support security awareness training for employees across departments
- Participate in incident response drills and tabletop exercises
- Analyze firewall logs and network traffic patterns
- Contribute to security policy development and maintenance
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or commitment to obtain within 90 days)
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and cybersecurity best practices
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Experience with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
