Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and prioritize incident response
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under guidance
- Analyze network traffic logs to detect suspicious activities and anomalies
- Document security incidents and contribute to post-mortem reports
- Collaborate with senior analysts on threat intelligence research
- Assist in implementing security controls and hardening systems
- Participate in tabletop exercises and security awareness campaigns
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving threats
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
