Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Document and triage security incidents per NIST guidelines
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing simulations
- Assist with security policy implementation and audits
- Collaborate with senior analysts on threat intelligence analysis
- Participate in tabletop exercises for incident response
- Update security dashboards and maintain compliance logs
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience
- CompTIA Security+ or willing to obtain within 3 months
- Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Proficiency in Windows/Linux command-line interfaces
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills
- Eligibility for US government clearance (citizenship required)
