Job Summary:
As an IT Support Trainee, you will assist in maintaining our company's IT infrastructure, providing technical support to end-users, and ensuring business continuity. You will participate in structured learning modules designed to accelerate your technical proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person, resolving common hardware and software issues.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop computers, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Learn and support the deployment of new software applications and updates across the organization.
- Document all technical issues, resolutions, and user interactions in the help desk ticketing system.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for IT assets and equipment.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to troubleshoot network connectivity problems and server outages.
- Attend weekly training sessions and technical workshops to improve skillset.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is a plus.
- Technical Basics: Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows 10/11), and peripherals.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and ability to troubleshoot technical problems effectively.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical users.
