As a Trainee, you will work closely with our senior IT staff, gaining hands-on experience in troubleshooting, network administration, and user support. This is a direct hire opportunity with a clear path to advancement.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting & Support: Assist in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues for internal users in a timely manner.
- Ticket Management: Log, track, and manage IT help desk tickets using our ticketing system to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Hardware Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on computer hardware, peripherals, and mobile devices, including setups and configurations.
- Network Assistance: Support the maintenance of local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN), ensuring connectivity and security.
- User Education: Provide guidance to employees on software usage, security best practices, and basic troubleshooting steps.
- Deployment Projects: Assist in the deployment of new workstations, software updates, and IT asset inventory management.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of computer hardware components, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and networking concepts.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently or as part of a team.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Soft Skills: High level of customer service orientation, patience, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Flexibility: Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed for system maintenance windows.
