As an IT Support Trainee, you will work alongside senior engineers to gain hands-on experience in help desk operations, system administration, and technical troubleshooting. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about technology and eager to learn.
What You Will Do:
- Provide tier-1 technical support to internal employees via phone, email, and in-person.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Manage and track IT help desk tickets using Service Desk software.
- Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups.
- Collaborate with the IT team to deploy new devices and software.
- Learn and demonstrate knowledge of network infrastructure basics.
Who We Are Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in IT or Computer Science is a plus.
- Basic understanding of PC hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and peripherals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to pursue industry certifications (CompTIA A+ preferred).
Responsibilities
- Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues for end-users.
- Manage and respond to IT help desk tickets in a timely manner.
- Perform system updates, patch management, and routine maintenance.
- Learn and implement remote desktop support tools.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to deploy new hardware and software.
- Document technical issues and resolutions for the knowledge base.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in IT or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Mac), and peripherals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Willingness to obtain relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+ is a plus).
