Responsibilities
- Monitor & Analyze: Continuously monitor security alerts, logs, and traffic to identify potential threats or anomalies.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, including phishing attacks and malware breaches.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively search for malicious actors and vulnerabilities within the network infrastructure.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to ensure system integrity.
- Compliance: Ensure all security measures align with industry standards such as NIST, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
- Security Awareness: Train staff on security best practices and phishing simulations to reduce human error.
- Tool Maintenance: Manage and configure SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and firewalls.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CSSP certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in network security or SOC analysis.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VPN technologies.
- Tools: Proficiency with SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
- Location: Must be willing to work in our El Paso, TX office (Hybrid model available).
