Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructures including LAN, WAN, and cloud-based systems
- Proactively monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark to preempt issues
- Execute advanced troubleshooting for routing/switching problems and security vulnerabilities
- Deploy and manage Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet hardware including firewalls, routers, and switches
- Document network configurations, changes, and disaster recovery protocols
- Collaborate with cloud teams to integrate hybrid network solutions
- Conduct regular security audits and implement NIST-compliant measures
- Mentor junior technicians and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of enterprise-level network administration experience
- CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent advanced networking certification required
- Expertise in BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and other advanced routing protocols
- Deep knowledge of network security frameworks (Zero Trust, SASE)
- Proficiency with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud networking (AWS/Azure)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Experience with SD-WAN implementations and network virtualization
