Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends, geopolitical shifts, and consumer behavior patterns to forecast 2026+ market landscapes
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for product development, market entry, and risk mitigation
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align stakeholders on future-focused initiatives
- Create comprehensive trend reports and whitepapers influencing company innovation pipelines
- Partner with R&D to prototype future-facing solutions and validate market readiness
- Monitor global innovation ecosystems and identify disruptive threats/opportunities
- Advise leadership on ethical implications of emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or tech R&D leadership
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of AI, quantum computing, biotech, and climate tech trajectories
- Exceptional storytelling skills to communicate complex futures to diverse audiences
- Experience with futures forecasting tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
- Portfolio demonstrating published future-focused strategies with measurable outcomes
