- Conduct horizon scanning to identify breakthrough technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Oversee pilot programs for emerging technologies with $5M+ annual R&D budgets
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and innovation hubs
- Mentor a team of 5+ technology analysts and futurists
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic technology planning, with 5+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record of commercializing future-focused innovations
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Expertise in AI/ML, quantum computing, or biotech convergence
- C-suite presentation experience with Fortune 500 companies
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism (patents, journals, keynotes)
- Certification in Technology Strategy or Innovation Management preferred
