Responsibilities
- Architect strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, ambient AI) targeting 2026 market readiness
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping next-gen hardware/software solutions
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive trends and patent opportunities
- Develop ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and human-AI collaboration
- Present innovation portfolios to executive leadership and external stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ R&D budget with ROI-focused allocation strategies
- Collaborate with MIT Future Tech Consortium on joint research initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 or unicorn startup experience
- Proven track record launching breakthrough products with 3+ years in quantum/AI domains
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Strong publication record in IEEE/Nature journals on future technologies
- Experience managing global innovation teams across 4+ time zones
- Deep understanding of semiconductor supply chain dynamics and geopolitical impacts
- Certified Futurist (CFP) or equivalent foresight methodology training
