Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech, sustainable energy) and develop strategic implementation roadmaps for 2026 market readiness
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing future-proof products and services with 5+ year vision horizons
- Conduct scenario planning for technological disruptions and create mitigation/adaptation strategies
- Partner with R&D to prototype and validate next-gen technologies with commercial potential
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board members with data-driven impact assessments
- Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, startups, and industry consortia
- Mentor junior strategists in future-thinking methodologies and trend analysis
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years experience in strategic planning with 3+ years focused on future tech forecasting
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, neurotech, etc.)
- Proven track record of translating technological trends into actionable business strategies
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario planning capabilities
- Experience presenting to executive audiences and influencing strategic decisions
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Technology Foresight (e.g., from WFS or APF)
- Portfolio of published trend analyses or strategic frameworks for future tech adoption
