Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets related to equity options, implied volatility, and market movements to identify trends and anomalies.
- Develop and maintain robust SQL queries and Python scripts to automate data extraction and reporting processes.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or Power BI to present findings to senior traders and portfolio managers.
- Collaborate with the quantitative research team to validate pricing models and assess risk exposure.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing regular audits of financial datasets and market feeds.
- Produce comprehensive weekly and monthly reports summarizing option flow, open interest changes, and Greeks analysis.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the financial services, investment banking, or equity trading sectors.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI for creating executive-level data visualizations.
- Deep understanding of Equity Options markets, including calls, puts, straddles, and the Black-Scholes model concepts.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and translate it into strategic insights.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a contract role while meeting tight deadlines.
