Responsibilities
- Monitor and protect equity options trading systems using SIEM tools and threat detection platforms
- Conduct real-time threat hunting and incident response for trading platforms during weekend market hours
- Implement and maintain zero-trust architectures for financial data systems
- Collaborate with trading desks to ensure cybersecurity compliance during market volatility
- Develop playbooks for responding to options-specific cyber incidents (e.g., spoofing attacks)
- Lead penetration testing on trading APIs and market data feeds
- Coordinate with global security teams during weekend market events
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 2+ years in financial services or options trading environments
- Certified CISSP, CISM, or OSCP required with FINRA Series 86/87 preferred
- Expertise in threat detection tools (Splunk, Darktrace) and trading platform security
- Experience with weekend shift rotations and high-availability systems
- Knowledge of equity derivatives markets and regulatory requirements (SEC, FINRA)
- Proficiency in Python/SQL for threat analysis and automation
- Ability to work under pressure during market events and incidents
