As a remote team member, you'll collaborate with Austin-based experts while maintaining work-life balance through our weekend-only schedule (Sat-Sun). Our mission: Zero-compromise security for high-frequency trading systems handling 50M+ transactions daily.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and defend equity options trading platforms against sophisticated cyber threats
- Implement and maintain encryption protocols for sensitive financial data
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on trading systems
- Respond to security incidents with SLA-driven incident response protocols
- Collaborate with Austin-based development teams on secure coding practices
- Document security procedures and compliance frameworks (SOX, FINRA)
- Lead weekend security operations center rotations
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with financial services experience
- Expert knowledge of equity options trading systems and protocols
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CEH (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Experience with Linux/Windows hardening and network security
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun 8AM-8PM CST)
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance (FINRA, SEC)
