Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network and systems.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, managing the incident response lifecycle from detection to resolution.
- Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and other security appliances to ensure network integrity.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement secure coding practices and DevSecOps pipelines.
- Stay updated on the latest cyber threats and security trends to recommend proactive improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation and threat analysis.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container security.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
