Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and access points
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues using diagnostic tools
- Document network changes, configurations, and incident reports in ITSM systems
- Provide Tier 1/2 technical support to resolve user-reported network problems
- Assist with network security implementations and vulnerability assessments
- Collaborate with senior engineers on infrastructure projects and system upgrades
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours network support as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred but not required)
- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- CompTIA Network+ or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional site visits
- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
