Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze equity options market data from multiple sources including Bloomberg and ICE
- Assist in building and maintaining datasets for options pricing models and volatility surfaces
- Generate daily/weekly reports on market trends, implied volatilities, and option Greeks
- Support quantitative analysts by preparing data for backtesting trading strategies
- Monitor market events and news to assess potential impacts on options pricing
- Document data sources, methodologies, and analytical processes
- Collaborate with traders and portfolio managers to understand data requirements
Qualifications
- Recent graduate or career changer with Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic functions)
- Basic understanding of statistical concepts (mean, median, standard deviation, distributions)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
- Ability to learn complex financial concepts quickly through structured training
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving approach with willingness to ask questions
