Responsibilities
- Analyze equity options pricing data using SQL, Python, and statistical modeling tools
- Build and maintain datasets for volatility surfaces, Greeks calculations, and risk metrics
- Support options trading desk with real-time data visualization and ad-hoc reporting
- Validate data integrity across market feeds and proprietary pricing models
- Develop automated data pipelines for options chain and implied volatility data
- Present findings to cross-functional teams using Tableau and Power BI
- Stay current with market events affecting options pricing and volatility patterns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
- 1-2 years of data analysis or internship experience with financial datasets
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Strong knowledge of Excel with advanced functions (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, PivotTables)
- Basic understanding of options pricing concepts (Black-Scholes, Greeks)
- Experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R for statistical analysis
- Detail-oriented approach with ability to spot data anomalies
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical insights
