As an Entry Level Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients make data-driven decisions. You will work closely with senior analysts to build reports, clean data, and uncover trends that drive business growth. Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather raw data from various sources and clean and format it to ensure accuracy and consistency for analysis.
- Dashboard Creation: Develop intuitive and visually appealing dashboards using tools like Tableau or Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Statistical Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within the data sets.
- Reporting: Create comprehensive reports for stakeholders, summarizing findings in a clear and concise manner suitable for non-technical audiences.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions.
- Process Improvement: Assist in optimizing data pipelines and reporting workflows to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Technical Skills: Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL, Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros), and one visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with the ability to spot errors and discrepancies in data sets.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex data findings effectively.
- Motivation: A self-starter attitude with a strong desire to learn new technologies, programming languages, and methodologies.
- Location: Must be willing to work on-site from our Long Beach, CA office.
