Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather, organize, and validate large datasets from various internal and external sources to ensure accuracy.
- Dashboard Creation: Build and maintain interactive dashboards in Tableau and Power BI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) for stakeholders.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform basic to intermediate statistical analysis and trend forecasting to support business reporting.
- Report Generation: Create comprehensive, clear, and concise reports that summarize data findings for non-technical audiences.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide actionable insights.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date data dictionaries and documentation to support team efficiency and data governance.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline data workflows and improve overall data quality.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems) or equivalent practical experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and a strong understanding of basic statistical concepts.
- Learning Potential: Eager to learn SQL and Python; relevant coursework or bootcamp completion is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail with the ability to spot errors in large datasets.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex data simply.
- Problem Solving: A proactive approach to troubleshooting and a logical mindset for analyzing problems.
- Location: Must be willing to work from our Washington DC office (or hybrid schedule as per company policy).
