Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather, clean, and preprocess large datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability for analysis.
- SQL Querying: Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve data from relational databases and generate reports.
- Dashboard Creation: Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI to communicate key metrics to stakeholders.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform basic statistical analysis and trend identification to support business decision-making processes.
- Report Generation: Create regular and ad-hoc reports highlighting insights, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of data pipelines, analysis processes, and findings.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Technical Skills: Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL; familiarity with Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP) is required.
- Tool Proficiency: Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker) is a strong plus.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot trends and anomalies in complex datasets.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
